Memory Palace
The memory palace is a memorization technique where a person imagines a familiar place, such as an apartment, and places items they wish to remember within this imaginary setting. Through our imaginary, metaphorical apartment, we aim to recall and remember various events that have occurred and been forgotten in Georgia over the past century. How and why did people get and lose apartments in Soviet and post-Soviet Georgia? What are the social and cultural dimensions of an apartment and what memories are stored within their rooms? The video, based on archival materials, explores history through the apartments in Tbilisi, Georgia, spanning both Soviet and post-Soviet times.

მეხსიერების სასახლე არის დამახსოვრების ტექნიკა, როდესაც ადამიანმა, ინფორმაციის დასამახსოვრებლად მისთვის კარგად ნაცნობი ადგილი, მაგალითად, საკუთარი საცხოვრებელი ბინა უნდა წარმოიდგინოს და ამ წარმოსახვით ბინაში, შეჩვეულ ადგილებზე განათავსოს ყველაფერი, რისი დამახსოვრებაც უნდა. ჩვენს წარმოსახვით ბინაში 100 წლის მანძილზე საქართველოში მომხდარი და დავიწყებული სხვადასხვა მოვლენა უნდა განვათავსოთ და დავიმახსოვროთ. როგორ და რატომ კარგავდნენ და იღებდნენ ადამიანები ბინებს საბჭოთა და პოსტ საბჭოთა საქართველოში? რა განზომილებები აქვს ბინას და რა მეხსიერებაა შენახული მის ოთახებში?
